Westcott Village Hall Dorking

Our team were responsible for driving the redevelopment of two dilapidated community buildings to provide a much needed new community hall and housing. Working closely with Matthew Allchurch Architects (MAA) and Trilogy, we provided project management and planning consultancy services to the Westcott Village Hall Charity, achieving planning permission to redevelop two sites, one for a new village hall and the other for 9 houses.

We reviewed and advised on the layout of six development options, resulting in a preferred option which was taken forward for stakeholder and public consultation. We worked on a successful public consultation exercise that included two very well attended exhibitions and over 250 responses to a bespoke questionnaire. We led the project team in the preparation of a planning application, advising on all aspects, procuring and reviewing the relevant assessments, guiding the Charity’s Trustees, the project team and the Council throughout the application process, addressing queries and providing further information as required. We subsequently advised on the detailed wording of Conditions and the associated legal agreement, enabling the Charity to meet its objectives.
