Haven Banks Temporary Church Exeter

Planning permission was granted for Rediscover Church in Exeter, enabling the temporary use of two former retail units at Exeter Quay. Having outgrown its previous premises in the city centre, the church required a larger, more suitable venue to accommodate its expanding activities and congregation.

The approved scheme facilitated the church’s relocation, putting the floorspace back into beneficial use until the future regeneration of Haven Banks- a wider development also secured by Union4.

The new permission has allowed the church to significantly expand its facilities, creating a large, contemporary worship space alongside multiple rooms for various activities. In addition to the main church building, the new premises include a dedicated youth centre, enabling the church to broaden its outreach initiatives and better support young people across the city.
