About the Proposals

This is an exciting redevelopment of a vacant plot of land along the River Irwell on St Simon Street, Salford. The proposal is for a new high-quality purpose-built student accommodation building of studio flats to expand the existing offering of cluster flats in the neighbouring Riverside House PBSA. The proposal will include studio bedrooms, communal space and associated external landscaping. The building will be an extension of the provision of Riverside House and will be operated as one larger complex. The Riverside House student community will benefit from extra bed places and a diversified accommodation offering. 

This exciting project will: 

• Enhance Salford’s student accommodation provision 

• Facilitate growth at local institutions like University of Salford 

• Activate a disused riverside plot and public access routes 

• Provide high quality landscaped amenity space and improve biodiversity.
